On Thursday 28 November, Westbourne students around the world battled out in the inaugural Westbourne Global Debate led by Stephen Powell, esteemed Business Management teacher, and Illia Mitiushnikov, Head Boy of IB, both from Westbourne School UK.

A galliant effort by Stephen, Illia and the UK students who braved the cool early morning to challenge their intelligent counterparts – the best and brightest STEM & Business students from Sydney and Singapore. In teams of three, one student from each campus, they debated on global topics such as “Should chewing gum be banned globally?” and “Should there be a universal timezone?”
